We have refreshed the service so you can savour the unique charms of the Ikawa Line in greater comfort.

How to use the tourist trains

Guaranteed seating (no seat assignments)

All tourist trains operate on a guaranteed‑seating basis from the start of services.
When you book you will select the specific train you wish to travel on. Bookings are limited so that we never accept more reservations than the train’s maximum capacity; however, individual seat numbers are not allocated. On the day you may take any available carriage and any free seat on the train you have booked.

How to book

• Bookings are taken 24/7 via the dedicated online reservation site.
• After booking you will travel using an electronic ticket.

On‑the‑day travel
Same‑day bookings are possible only while seats remain available (we will not exceed the train’s capacity).
You may apply on the day via:
・the online reservation site
・the station ticket office
・on board the train (handled by the train crew).

Fares (sold as a package tour product)

• Adult: ¥3,500 (tax included)
• Child: ¥1,750 (tax included)

Note: the fare is the same regardless of how far you travel on the line.

Use of ordinary carriages

The following services will include ordinary (unreserved) carriages that may be used at the standard fare.

• First up service (Train 402)
• Last down service (Train 405)

Ordinary carriages cannot be reserved in advance.

Ikawa Line Resident Pass

• Eligibility: Residents of the whole of Kawanehon Town and the Ikawa district of Shizuoka City
• Benefit: Unlimited boarding and alighting on the entire Ikawa Line, including tourist and ordinary trains
• Issuing fee: ¥1,000 (tax included)
• Validity: Two years from date of issue
• Available from: Issued at Senzu Station from 1 July 2026

Use is subject to seat availability or standing room. Certain special services such as the Toby‑go and the Starry Sky Train are excluded.
