Electric Locomotive E10

The unsung hero which also helps
Steam Locomotives

Built in October1949 by Mitsubishi Electric. Newly built due to Oigawa Main Line’s electrification. Back at that time there were no electric passenger carriages and it was a combined operation with this E10 model electric locomotive. As trains developed, E10 gradually changed its use to tow freight trains. With less freights, No.1 and No.2 are currently used to shift passenger carriage on Steam Locomotives as well as supporting its operation when it comprises many carriages.
